Collaboration Between Hitit University and the Defense Industry

Ismail Terlemez, Chairman of Arca Defense, a major company in the defense industry operating in the Sungurlu Organized Industrial Zone, visited Professor Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk, Rector of Hitit University.

Regarding the visit, Professor Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk stated, “We had a productive meeting with Ismail Terlemez, Chairman of Arca Defense, about potential collaborations in the defense industry, which is one of our main goals within the specialization area of Machine and Manufacturing Technologies.” Ismail Terlemez mentioned that they are in contact with Hitit University to address the need for qualified personnel, saying, “We are planning to establish an R&D center and aim to reduce Turkey’s dependence on foreign sources. Turkey’s defense industry has achieved significant progress in recent years. We are now invited as honorary guests to meetings abroad. If we do not venture into big projects, we will always remain small. Turkey must always aim for the top position. We also want to be a leading company in our field, like 'Bayraktar.'”
